What is a ground heat exchanger?

GHE is a recently very popular system supporting the operation of the ventilation system. The principle of operation is very simple. GHE uses a constant temperature (4 – 8 °C) of the ground at a depth of 1.5 meters. Glycol flowing through pipes introduced at this depth heats the air in winter and cools the air in summer.

Factors influencing the appropriate choice of GHE

1. Type of soil.
2. The height of groundwater.
3. Plot size.
4. Size of the ventilated area.
5. Correct installation of pipes and devices will enable long-term and failure-free operation of the glycol ground heat exchanger.
