What is photovoltaics?
A photovoltaic installation is used to convert solar radiation into electricity. During seasons with greater sunlight, we can produce more electricity than our current demand. The surplus can be sent to the local distribution network. In winter, when there is less sunlight and the demand for electricity is greater, we can collect the accumulated surplus from the grid. To do this, it is necessary to sign an appropriate contract with the energy supplier. We then become a prosumer, i.e. both a producer and a consumer of electricity.

1. Financial benefits. We become almost independent from the electricity supplier. We are not concerned about the constantly increasing costs of electricity. Investment outlays are usually returned within 6-7 years. Further on, we can enjoy zero costs, excluding fixed fees, which are relatively low.
2. Environmental protection. By using renewable energy sources, we contribute to improving air quality.
3. Possibility to cover the demand for electricity in the case of heating using heating foils. With properly designed and constructed installations, we can have free heating in our home.
