FOLREC Heating Foil
Find out how to use heating foil in modern construction.
Heating foils are a heating system using infrared radiation. They are approximately 0.4 mm thick and consist of several layers, the most important of which is the carbon foil. The foils are very durable. They are mounted in the floor, ceiling or walls. In rooms such as a bathroom, toilet or kitchen, where ceramic tiles are planned on the floor, it is recommended to use heating mats. The heat generated by the heating foils spreads evenly throughout the room. You can read about the advantages of such heating below.
Advantages of using heating foil
- Low installation cost. It may be cheaper by approximately PLN 15,000 compared to gas heating and even approximately PLN 30,000 compared to heating based on a heat pump. There is no need to build chimneys, plumbing or radiators.
- Low operating costs. They are comparable to the costs of gas heating. In combination with the recommended photovoltaic installation, we can even have free heating.
- Comfort of use. The rooms heat up very quickly. We can control the temperature in each room separately. Infrared radiation heats building partitions and all objects in the room, which then release energy by heating the air. Thanks to this, thermal comfort is achieved at a temperature 2-3 °C lower than with standard heating.
- Health benefits. Infrared radiation is compared to sunbathing, which in the appropriate dose has health-promoting properties. Moreover, the equal temperature of building partitions and the air in the room prevents the formation of mold or fungi. Heating with heating foils is also completely safe. This is confirmed by research conducted by the Electromagnetic Field Patterns and Metrology Laboratory of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
- Long-term warranty. The heating system using heating foils is provided with a 25-year warranty, and the service life of the foils themselves is estimated at 50 years. This provides further measurable financial benefits compared to traditional heating systems.
- A controller can be installed in each of the heated rooms, thanks to which we can set an independent temperature there.
- Heating with heating foils can be used as a basic source as well as for additional heating of individual rooms.
